A MEDIA PLATFORM
Chicana in the City is more than just a media platform, it's a movement focused on representation, storytelling, and empowerment. Through our Chicana in Every City initiative, we give rising journalists, content creators, and storytellers the space to amplify real stories from their communities across the nation.
Our correspondents share powerful, culturally rich narratives that are often overlooked in mainstream media. In addition to the platform, we offer mentorship and workshops to help elevate their journalism, creative, and digital storytelling skills. And we're just getting started, if you're a Chicana or Latina with a story to tell, applications are still open. Join us and be part of something bigger.
**This opportunity is open to all Chicanas, Latinas, and non-binary individuals, we proudly support the Queer community and encourage Black and Indigenous creators to apply. You must be 18 or older to apply. No experience in journalism is necessary but a passion for multimedia and storytelling is a must.
At Chicana in the City , we envision a world where mass media is a powerful tool for positive change. We believe that the stories we tell can inspire, educate, and empower people to make a difference in their communities and beyond.
Chicana in the City was founded in 2010 by a group of passionate journalists who wanted to create a new kind of media platform. Today, we are proud to be one of the leading sources of news and entertainment online.
